Default suddenly poor network connections

Please Login to Remove!

I live in a rural area, and have a 1-2bar Edge service. 3G is down the road in town. My Bold has worked fine but now has started 'searching for network' most of the time. We were in town this morning for breakfast and I usually get great 3g coverage, but this morning it was searching for network..

I am on the latest software, and have done the battery pull..

I have also noticed recently that frequently when I put the phone down on my desk, in the car, at a restaurant, it will reboot spontaneously.. these events started about the same time..

I haven't dropped the phone that I can remember, it lives in a BB (curve) belt clip case most of the time.

are there any suggested diags I could look at?

thanks for any guidance.

Sam

Has it gotten wet by any chance? What additional apps are you running? What OS?

Have you talked to ATT to see if there is a coverage issue, perhaps a tower having problems?

You said that when you put the bold down on the table it reboots, that mean that the battery is loose. I think the fix is to put a business card on the battery and see how it works.

no, hasn't gotten wet, no change in the apps.. and I deleted everything I don't wan't.. Messenger, Maps, etc.. no add on apps.

when it first started I talked to them and they said they had a tower problem, but since them have fixed it..

But it happens everywhere now..
