Default BlackBerry Bold 9000 Exchange server no BES

Please Login to Remove!

hi sorry to distub you all my name is Alex, i am having a hard time to setup my blackberry to access my POP3 server..

Network :
Server Microsoft Exchange 2003 , OWA ready
Exchange pop3 service running and tested with IPhone
Exchange server is behind a SonicWall Firewall

Address Object in SonicWall Network tab are the following :
Blackberry-POP3-Rogers Range : 24.114.128.0 - 24.114.255.255
Blackberry-Rogers-WebPortal : 67.223.64.0 - 67.223.95.255

Rules Setup from WAN to LAN :
Blackberry-POP3-Rogers Range ---> EXCHANGE SERVER ALLOW POP3
Blackberry-Rogers-WebPortal ---> EXCHANGE SERVER ALLOW POP3

I know the setup with my Exchange server and the rules are supposed to be ok, since ive setup the POP3 account on my IPHONE 3g, ( from rogers too ) and it was working #1 it fetched the email at the second I was done with setup.

now when i try to add the POP account on the BlackBerry Bold 9000 i always get the same error : Cannot reach server XXXX.ca ( pop3 server address ) please verify and try again..

I tough it had something to do with the fact rogers.blackberry.com tried to connect from WAN to LAN thats why i made the Address Objects with the RIM server range adresse to allow connection. still not working

please any help would be apreciated..

have a nice day. thanks

UPDATE : even with OWA. its the same error message, it really seem that the WebPortal request get droped by the firewall or something ..

If you have OWA access to Exchange, then why are you bothering with POP?
Just integrate your email account using OWA with BIS.
Seems like you're making more work than you need to.

You should open access to your Exchange server for RIM IP addresses.

RIM blackberry runs on centralized architecture with polling done, guess what, from RIM. Let RIM in, it will start working.
