Default Minor frustration

First, let me apologize, I'm not exactly sure how to even search for this topic, so I'm just going to ask the question.

When I am using Microsoft Outlook, and I want to send an email, if I start typing the name, it does not just give me an alphabetical list, based on what I am typing. It will start a list in order of what it assumes I am looking for. For example, if I type "a", it doesn't necessarily put Aben's name at the top of the list. If I typically email Amanda more often, her name will be at the top, even though it would be alphabetically after Aben.

While I love my Blackberry, this sure is a time saver. Same should work when placing a phone call. Am I missing a setting?

Thanks a ton,
Dan

Strange. there is not a setting for that.

In your Address Book, click Menu > Filters and make sure no filters are checked.

If not, try a battery pull reboot, while powered on.

Good question- I would like this feature as well. Right now I just type the first letter or two of the first name and first letter of the last name and it will usually be towards the top. I only have about 700 contacts, so if you have many more, might take a few more letters to get your desired name to the top. On a side note, in Outlook, those names appear from your cache, so if you clear your cache, they are gone. Also, if one always pops up that you don't want in the cache any longer, just highlight that address and hit delete.

No, it is not a filter. For example, I email my production manager, Dennis, quite often...so, when I go create a new email, in the "To:", I start out typing his name. In Microsoft Outlook, in the "To:" area, if I type the letter "D", it knows that I email Dennis quite often, and his name will appear at the top of the list. On my Blackberry, it does not matter whom I email/text/call the most, it puts them in alphabetical order. It would be nice, if it would try to anticipate what I am trying to do.

This would be a handy functionality. There may even be a 3rd party app that has addressed this.
