Spoke too soon. BIS/Yahoo has slowed down again... last thing that worked was 20 minutes ago with a synced delete (deleted on handheld and showed up in Yahoo mailbox). Since then nada, no more incoming emails.

Nor Cal: Access to my corporate mail via BIS (not BES) is not working this morning since 8:30AM Pacific. It could be our network though.

No Gmail, Google maps (the BB can get the GPS signals, so I can know what my latitude and longitude are, just not what my local map looks like!) or web browsing in Southern Cal for at least a couple of hours now. PIN messaging may be down, trying it now (BB Messenger).
Edit: No PINs getting through, SMS seems to be working...

Sounds like it may be a Cali issue. I was talking to a couple (3) friend in LA and through BB Messenger and all of a sudden they went down. They said they were unable to send email or pin. Text messaging was spotty too.
I'm all good so far here in IL

I think it's our office's POP3.
oBBsessed: sounds like you need to resend your service books.

Good suggestion, we'll see if that works. Had already tried the HRT registration.
(Edit: Re-sent service books and still no dice. Weird.)

I know this is going to sound like an ignorant comment...but with all the "issues" being reported, would it be too much for RIM to provide updates so we're not all guessing what works and what doesn't? Perhaps if they established a "network status" site where anyone could log in and either see current network problems or know the network is considered by RIM to be at full strength, we could avoid threads like this which are more speculation than fact. Earthlink, for example, provide such a site for its internet services, why can't RIM?

Probably RIM wouldn't want to make any predictions about when service might be restored, only to have someone try to hold them liable when those predictions aren't fulfilled. So better to say nothing or next to nothing, I guess.
In the meantime, my service has come back to life and Gmail has belched up 9 or so delayed emails.

They wouldn't even have to include a prediction for restoration...I still think we'd all be a lot better if RIM were to share with us their best information about the status of the network at a given point. If a problem is limited to a cellular provider, or to a part of the country/world, or to a specific type of email account (GMail, Yahoo, etc.), that would be useful information that in no way compromises them. In fact, it would certainly reduce the number of Tech Support calls and enable them to focus more resources on fixing the problem.

I'm almost afraid to say that it appears that my Yahoo mail is now working again for last several hours in San Antonio, Texas. See if it keeps up for next 12-24 hours and I'll be willing to conceed it's working.
