Default BIS, Microsoft Exchange, Rules, and email

Please Login to Remove!

First off, I'm sorry if this is the wrong place for this post. I looked for a better place, but didn't come up with anything.

I am having some issues, and I have figured out the cause, but have not figured out the solution yet. My email, for work, goes thru and exchange server. On my laptop, I use Microsoft Outlook '07, and I have set up folders for each of my different customers. I then set up rules, that sort my email, into the correct folder, when it arrives on the exchange server. I also have this same email account going to my Blackberry. I have discovered that only those emails that remain in my inbox, actually get forwarded on to my phone. The remainder (the majority), since they are not in my inbox, after the rules run, do not ever get to my phone. So...how do I make all of me emails arrive at my phone?

I'm not sure if this helps, but I have noticed that some of my email rules say "client only" behind them. These are the rules set for emails originating from our shop, and going out to customers, but I was carbon copied on. I am assuming that the reason these rules are "client only" is because I cannot move an email that is in someone elses outbox...???

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

On BIS, you can't. You need BES for redirection of subfolders.
Otherwise, get rid of the rules and manually file the messages using Outlook after they've been delivered to your handheld.

Client rules mean that the Outlook client is what is performing the execution rule. Outlook needs to be running in order for the rule to execute.
There's also Server-side rules which run in Exchange. These run regardless of whether your Outlook client is running.
(Neither matter because you're on BIS.)

Is there possibly any other software that will make this work?

Is there a way to make it so that all rules are "client" rules? I only need the emails to come to my phone, when I am away from my computer, so I could just make sure I had exited Outlook, before I leave.

Surely there has to be a solution... My company is not going to spend the money for the BES software.

Nope. You must be on BES for subfolders.

Does anyone know if Blackberry (or any 3rd party) is working on a solution for this? I love my Blackberry, but if my company is forced to go with BES to solve this problem, we will likely go away from Blackberry instead.

There is nothing in the works on RIM's side to enable subfolder redirection for BIS accounts.
I highly doubt this will ever change.
