Hello All,

My employer uses IMAP as our email protocol (we do not use MS Exchange) and we have started talking about adding a Blackberry solution for some of our more mobile employees.

However, when we last looked at adding a Blackberry Solution, IMAP support was fairly week.

I realize that RIM's BES server side software does not support IMAP and our only option would be BIS. Understanding that, has BIS improved its handling of IMAP or are we still looking at one-way synchronization and 15 polling for incoming mail ?

If the BIS solution is still fairly week, is that another solution that is better be it Blackberry or another type of device?

One way is still there, but if your IMAP server supports IDLE polling will be almost instantenious.
