Default Apparently place of manufacturer is important

This is not a slur on a country or its people just an observation.

My personal expererience lends creedance to this i had 3 Storms all of them Mexico origin my last one came from hungary no issues.

My wife first one Mexico origin had hardware issues.now hers is made in cananda no issues

4 from mexico plant hardware issues

one DOA

two touch screen stopped clicking

one rattled like a rattle

1 from hungary no hardware issues

1 from canada no hardware issues

Both are now running .122 and work great



Just an observation

All of our Storms (4) are marked Made In Mexico. No hardware issues. No rattling.

I guess that was your observation and this is mine...

How did you get the .122 from verizonwireless, i cant find it anywhere.

Back on topic, where the device is made may seem like a tracable trend, but likely doesn't lead to the right conclusion. Specific lots of devices may all have a common prodution issue, but not everything from a specifc location throughout time.

Perhaps the problem devices were undocumented (illegals?) I agree with previous posters that this is likely not indicating an origin-specific problem, but rather specific lot(s) of devices.
