Default databases stored on card

Please Login to Remove!

I read that I cant put programs on a memory card with the the curve. Is that completely true?

Can I at least store databases on the card? For example with my treo I have a dictionary reader on internal and then the 14 MB dictionary database on the card.

Wirelessly posted (8310; The Juggernaut)

Correct on applications. There are very limited programs of which I am aware that allow the database to be stored on the Media Card. Beiks just announced last week one its programs to do such.
Find it in our Aftermarket Software section here.

Basically, all you can store on the SD card is music, ringtones, pictures and perhaps documents, but these are not accessible on the BB itself.

As for databases, I will differ to someone with additional info such as JSanders, above.

Yes, BEIKS' dictionaries can be stored on media card. However, the dictionary reader - the program itself - must be installed to the internal memory.

Sincerely,

George.

Oh, I forgot - we have recently updated our talking phrase books for BlackBerry and now they support installation to media cards as well. The program itself should again be installed to internal memory, though.

George.
