every phone/PPC i've had in the past 4 years has had a cradle that can charge the unit, as well as pop an extra battery on the backside and charge as well.

searching the forums for cradles, i cant seem to find any that will charge a spare battery (out of the BB)

If anyone has seen an sx66/PDAII cradle, they would know what i mean.

i usually always buy a spare battery and run them all the way down and just pop another one in and place the dead one on the cradle unit. gotta try and squeeze all the life i can out of them.

if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know, Thanks!

That's not a bad idea. I think I'll invest in one as well especially for when I'm travelling and I'm out of my hotel room from 8AM until 11PM (which usually means that I can forget to charge my BB !!).

Quick thought: Could a decommissioned 7100 be used to charge an 8700 battery? For upgraders, that could be a free charging cradle.

Yep, it works. Not the other way though. The 8700 will NOT charge the 7100 black C-S1 batteries.
