Default Some users mail pending for days

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I am running BES 3.6.8 with Exchange 2003 sp1 with 24 users. A problem we have been experiencing for the last week is that some users mail is left as pending while others work fine. This does not affect any particular users and the handhelds are all switched on. The pending mail will then suddenly all be forwarded to the handheld at one go. I have contacted Vodafone who say there are no network issues that would cause this. About ten of the handhelds were added last week which is when we first noticed the problem but the problem affects old and new users usually about 4 at a time with all others working fine. Any help appreciated.

We have noticed in our environment that if a BB goes out of coverage and then it comes back into coverage sometimes it doesn't re-register back on the wireless network. Even though it appears that it has (GPRS or NXTL are showing). I have went rounds with the wireless vendors and RIM and it appears it is just a flaw in the devices. We have not experienced this issue in a little while so maybe the newer handheld software code fixed this but I am not sure. But we had to do a hard reset on the devices to get them re-registered and the emials started coming through. I am not sure if this is the same issue your experiencing but it is worth looking into at least. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I don't think this is the cause though. Looking at some other posts I wonder if it has anything to do with licences. I upgraded from the 'baby BES' to enterprise and we currently are using version 3.6.4. The baby BES had 5 licences which I was told would not work with Enterprise although it allowed me to add them ok. We bought 40 licences in two lots of 20 plus the five gives us 45 and we have 24 users and the problem seems to affect 4 users at a time but not the same ones. Is there any way of seeing the license each handheld is using? and will it change?
