Default Cant Remove Basque Language

Please Login to Remove!

I just upgraded to .46, everything is working awsome. Problem is I cant remove the language "Basque" from my DM App Loader under "Language and Imput Support". It says

"Action : Remove"

because I have it unchecked, I hit next and i see

Summary: Application to be deleted > Basque.

Ok so I hit Finish. Now when I go back to my Application Loader it shows it still on the device unchecked but with the " Action : Remove" as if it was still on the phone.

Any Ideas??

How can I delete that directly from my device? Or should I remove the .cod files for that language from the Java folder?

I would remove the .cods for Basque from the java folder. I've had that happen with some asian languages too....

I had this same issue and checked the modules associated with the Basque language support. There were 4 modules with one of them installed.

net_rim_runtime_resource__eu.cod
net_rim_bb_resource__eu.cod
net_rim_bb_diagnostic_resource__eu.cod
net_rim_bb_elt_resource__eu.cod

net_rim_bb_diagnostic_resource__eu.cod was marked as installed which was probably flagging for Basque language support installation. I am not being asked to update after removing these .cod files.

Remove the .cod files I listed above and update your device applications with Desktop Manager. It should ask you to remove net_rim_bb_diagnostic_resource__eu.cod. Remove it from your phone. You should be good after that.

The Basque language is important if you want to plant a bomb in Madrid. Otherwise there's not much use for it.

Thanks for the helpful thread..I got the above issue with my OS upgrade on the Bold to .190, unfortunatley I couldn't tell which language is which because Norwegian, Danish and Swedish flagged on my end. It was easier to remove "every" language and keep the one I needed, e.g. English and German which I was able to decipher.

Thanks for the great info.

I am Basque and find this statement offensive. I speak the language and appreciate the BB support of this language, just because certain groups (ETA) do certain things is no reason for judge all of us.
