I've seen lots of samples for developers that tell how to display fields on a page. But I haven't seen anything that explains how to control a screens flow. i.e. For example "Should this edit field be NEXT to this option list or below it?"

Any clues? Can someone point me in the right direction?

TIA!

Is this a usability question, or a technical question?

If you are asking how to get Fields 2 & 3 to be side-by-side and under field 1, this is done with the various managers, or by crafting your own manager class.

In this example here, you would add field 1 to a vertical field manager, then add fields 2 and 3 to a horizontal field manager, then add th horizontal manager to the vertical manager.

Like this:

-------------------- {start of vertical field manager}
field 1
-------------------- {start horizontal field manager}
field 2 field 3
--------------------{end horizontal field manager}
--------------------{end vertical field manager}

Make sense?

I thought this was the right place to ask anything regarding DEVELOPING BB apps. Where else would something like this go other than "Developer Forum"?

Thanks--at least that gives me something to search for.

Sure, but I couldn't tell if the question was "what should the UI do?" or "how do I do it"

The former is a UI style/usability question, which I would defer answering

Got it--that makes sense. I thought you were going in a totally different direction (such as this area isn't the right place for that type of question).

Anyway thanks for the help.

Default UI Flow Control

First tell me what exactly you want to do?

Did you to want to control the insertion of the controls or you want to control the focus ?

Can you explain more?
