Default MP3 Organization Out of Whack

Please Login to Remove!

Hey Guys,

I organize my MP3 on my laptop and then move them onto the Blackberry through the USB connection. I move the folders to the BB media card using the normal Copy/Paste from the computer, as it sees the BB as removable storage, similar to a thumb drive.

The problem arises when I try to access those MP3s on the BB. The files are all over the place and do not appear under their parent folder! However, when viewing the media card from the pc, everything seems normal and the files/folders seem to have maintained their folder organization!

What gives? What am I missing here?

Thanks

Yup, the OS that shipped originally has an issue with media on the card. The new OS .151 or .168 resolves the issue. Good luck.

Guys, I remember having the same issue with my 8320! So this was all an OS issue and now it has been fixed for good? With the new OS, If I look under Albums on my Blackberry music player, I will see the same folder structure as I had created in Windows?

Thanks for clarifying,

For what it's worth I use the BB plugin for iTunes, I think it's Media Manager (NOT the thing that is used with DM, this one is standalone and does not have anything to do with Device Mgr). Open it, plugin BB, and transfer playlists to BB. The downside is you can only move things that are playlists, so I make temp. playlists of albums/artists that I want to move. The upside is all the artwork is there and the genres/artists/albums/songs organization is just like iTunes. And it's fast. The drag/drop to card method worked but not all of the album art would transfer over. I have the original .114 OS so that's not been a problem for me (yet).
