I have put a bunch of music on my memory card but a lot of songs do not appear if i go through the artists/albums/songs way but if i just go to all songs they are all there... they are not spelled wrong or have missing info they just don't show up.. anyone got any ideas?

also today i loaded a few pictures up and while the card was being scanned i noticed that the music was showing up through the artist/albums/songs route... but then they disappeared once the scan was done.

Copy everything off the card, format the card, copy the stuff back onto the card. That is the first thing I have always tried when I had any problems. It often fixes things that make little sense.

ok... i'm not quite sure what you mean by format the card so could you tell me how to do that?

It's not the card. If the MP3 tags are not properly setup then you won't be able to search by artist, title, etc. MP3 files have tags for author, title, album, etc and must be filled in correctly. You can find some freeware programs around to edit the MP3 tags of the files.

Options >> Advance Options >> Media Card >> Press the menu key >> select Format.
THIS WILL ERASE ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING ON THE CARD!

I agree that this is probably the problem. I would still start with a clean slate (fresh formatted card) before moving on to fixing more things though.
Tag&Rename << The best thing I have ever found to fix tags in music files. Once installed you can right click on a folder, or a single file (or select several) and edit the info for any or all of them.
