I deleted all my text messages and it still says I have one message that is unread... i looked in every message folder and there is nothing.. anyone know how to get rid of the icon... it's annoying me so much

Did you check "Saved Messages?"

From the Messages screen, hit the menu key (left of trackball) and select View Saved messages.

And if you don't have any saved messages, try a battery pull! It can work wonders and has solved this problem for many people in the past.

And start emptying the folders.

I suspect the battery pull will solve it.

I think tmo can reset your message waiting indicator as well. Verizon did it for me once after I tried everything short of an OS wipe and reload.

thanks guys... it actually was in saved messages... the only folder that is not in the view folder menu lol
