Default waiting for the device to open channel

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,
This is regarding the USB sample provided with the RIM JDE. In that the desktop client works only when the device client is started and it has opened a channel for the desktop client to work on. If you don't start the device client the desktop client simply throws an exception and shuts down. I wanted to know whether is it possible to get an event when the device actually opens the channel. Rather than having the device client to open the channel first and then start the desktop client. In the sample code is it possible to wait for the read event and close event, so I think is should be possible to wait for a open channel event also. Also can you tell me what is this method "raw_CheckClientStatus" for. My questions may sound naive, but I haven't actually worked in a windows environment and on com port. So please excuse me. Thanks all.

Regards
Dhaval
