Hi All

I have now done the cutover but cant receive emails on my handheld - they arrive in Outlook only. If I switch back to the old bes I get them on my handheld. I have uninstalled and reinstalled bes on the new server, performed the bb mapi reg fix and still cant seem to get emails to arrive on my hh. Any suggestions?

Remind me of the scenario/setup again. Perms (for besadmin on the new server, not just existing exchange ones) and CDO matching are the obvious ones which spring to mind without giving it too much though.

I attempted the cutover to new hardware and couldn't get it to work. I kept getting mapi errors but couldn't find the solution. I tried the BES mapi reg fix which didn't work.

I created a new virtual machine (windows 2k3) and started again. Now when I do the cutover I can't get the dispatcher service and a couple of others to start.

My old bes is a win2k box and needs an upgrade, hence the w2k3 server.

I have followed the knife edge to the letter (I think) and still the same. I have switched back to the old bes and all is fine for now but I really need to swith over to the new virtual server.

I spent a couple of nites with 'knotty rope' skyped in helping, still no joy!

TBH if knotty couldn't help then I probably can't. Sounds like it's time to call T-Support .

I am tempted to ask what the errors are when the services won't start but not sure how much help I can be if knotty has already tried on them.

d'oh! TS it is then!!

A quick call ti RIM resolved this...
The problem was with the mapi file on the new server. It was not the same versin as the existing BB server mapi profile. A quick google search for MS exchange 5.5 mapi and a speedy download resolved the problem.
