Default My Screen Is Possessed

Please Login to Remove!

I have owned my bb storm for about 2 weeks now and HAVE read several threads on this subject. My screen backlight goes off and on ALL THE TIME. I have disabled the auto on/off, deleted quickpull and pulled the battery several times while letting it sit for 10 minutes or more. Is my phone possessed? I believe I have tried most of the tricks to solve this problem, but I definately have not tried them all. I can't seem to fix this issue and need help. Any advice?

My screen will brighten and fade for a minute or so until it finally dims out. Even the buttons on the bottom will fade and brighten. I suppose it is normal.

I have found that if I have touched the screen on my Storm but then set it down and leave it be that sometimes it will randomly brighten the screen on its own and then fade out to turn off. That is only after I have turned the screen on myself, though.

Knowing the OP's OS would definitely help. Not sure if that was a problem in past OS builds as being a Mac user, it took me forever to upgrade from .75 to my OS now so I missed out on a lot of the builds in between. But someone else may know and be able to help!

The random brighten and fade doesn't do it all the time for me. It could be that the phone is accessing the network or something. I think maybe it did this when I had Weatherbug getting updated weather every 5 minutes or so. Now I have it on every hour and I don't see this happening now. I just tested it and watched the phone and it didn't brighten or fade until it finally faded out the backlight and went dark. I don't know, I could be wrong about Weatherbug.
