Default Wireless Calendar Sync suddenly disabled for all users

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone,

Been having a heluva time with this one, had a user complain their Calendar wasn't syncing, so looked and thier Calendar was set to not sync over wireless.... well low and behold, ALL (150+) of our BB users that had Wireless Calendar Sync enabled now all of a sudden have it disabled.

Would anyone firstly know WHY? and secondly, how can I fix this without asking all my BB users to re-enable their wireless Calendar sync individually?

Are you running BES?

If so, you can change this from the BES so users don't have to do this.

I think on BES 4.1 it is a global setting too, so will change for all users, but I may be wrong (not sat in front on BES to check this right now)

We are running BES 4.0, not 4.1.

No policies were changed, nothing out of the ordinary.

Exclamation Okey Dokey

So after posting this message in a bunch o' forums, one user mentioned that after a server outage, all of his Berries had to manually re-enable Wireless Cal Sync (280+ BB's).

Now our server was down for about an hour during a planned hardware maintainance, and if that is what caused it, I am leary of upgrading the BES anymore.

RIM = DOG CRAP

Who would design something that changes it's settings when it can't contact it's server, but then offers NO WAY of changing it back, either globally or automatically when the server communication returns?

Does anyone know for sure if 4.1 allows you to force wireless cal sync through IT Policy?
