Post Food For Thought

Please Login to Remove!

Just a random food for thought comment, with all these new devices coming out everyone always seems to say 'wait' wait til they release this version or that or a better one etc.. The problem is I think if you keep waiting you will never get it.

Then again I guess I am a gadget freak because I got the TMO and unlocked it (8100) as opposed to waiting, and hey guess what if in 2 months there is something better I will get that and just sell this one.

Am I crazy or addicted? (Hope I am not the only one)

I think if you have a device that you are happy with using, but want all the toys that a new version may give, pick up the new one instead of waiting. If you don't like the new one, return it. If you can't return it, sell it. If you do keep it and something newer comes out that you really want, buy it. If you like it keep it, if not, return it. Now, people are going to say "But it's expensive" well, use the last one you had to help pay for the new one. You may not get all your money back, but at least you get some.

Oh, and here's the catch, I say don't go for any upgrade path that makes you give your old one in. This way, if you don't like the new one, you still have an old one you're happy with. If you like the new one, then sell the old one to help cover the cost. The key is having your old one to fall back on. I do this all the time for all my electronics. Soo many times i've had to fall back to an old motherboard because the new one is flakey or i just don't like the features.

Yes mobile electronics are expensive now a day, but if you have one already then you won't have to pay absolute full retail for a new one since you'll be selling your old one.

But that's just my $0.02 worth.

You read my brain 100% those are my exact same thoughts.

If it will cost 400 for a new one and you can sell your old one for 350 then hey it only cost you 50 bucks. Plus usualy if you buy phones that often you change them every 3 months like I do, i keep all the box stuffies and when I sell it I can sell it for more because A I take care of my devices and B I have all the equip, and usualy I throw in my SD cards.

I agree 190%.

I have to agree with you. If you have the money, why wait? Might as well get it now.
