Anyone have experience with Sim Card Errors? I had several in one day, then the next day, "insert sim card" appeared when the card was already in the phone. Long story short, Cingular replaced my 8700c, including sim card, net day, started getting Sim Card Error again. Anybody know what's going on?
You don't happen to be in the Dallas / Fort Worth area are you? We have lots of our BlackBerry users reporting sim card errors. I know Cingular is currently in the process of migrating their AT&T and Cingular towers to the converged network in the area but I can't get them to tell me what's causing this.
I'm in Seattle, so it's not a geographical issue. I bought it back in Feb 2006 and worked great 'til last night. I don't know what to do other than go to a Cingular store...
Please I am also getting an invalid sim card error when I insert my own MTN sim card into bb 8700g given to me by my cousin who upgraded on the O2 network.
Please can I go round this problem, do I need to send it back to him to contact O2 or is my MTN sim card in nigeria not compatible or do I need a special unlock code before it will work?
Jolly - please do not double post; you started a new thread on this (and you need a special unlock code for the BB to use your SIM card in it). Contact one of the commercial unlockers please.
