Default How much free memory is good for an 8830?

Please Login to Remove!

I read the FAQ but that wasn't for this model. I have roughly 11.5 MB free after battery pull. Is that low? I have no idea since the FAQ addressed a model, which I understand, has no micro SD slot. I'm a little lost here. Thanks in advance for advice.

Wirelessly posted (8800: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8310/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

That is fair. I would shoot for 15-16mb file free.

I have 34.5 free without doing a battery pull in the last week or two on my 8820. I have removed PTT, Brickbreaker, all languages except English and a few other OEM programs not required.

I have 25mb free on my 8130 with 4 apps installed. I tried the memory-up app but I didn't think it worked that good and to me there is no sense putting an app on my bb which takes up memory to free up memory.

Thanks. I'll try that.

To answer the previous question, divide by 1000000 to get MB. 13282760 Bytes for me becomes 13 MB. 1000 Bytes is one KB and 1000 KB is one MB.

Hey, I'm up to 13 free. I still have no clue how you people are getting 30. Do you not have many apps installed?

Here's a dumb question....how do you get rid of TTY? I don't recall ever doing it, but I also don't see it in the Applications list.

TTY Support should be listed in your Applications.
