Hello, I have a blackberry that apparently really does not want to accept the address book. I wiped it this morning and added the correct user then the address book failed. Tried wiping it again and same thing. Tried pulling the battery... Suggestions?
You mean contacts or service books? If it's the former, check for bad contacts in Outlook - get rid of anything that isn't really a contact, or is a partial contact (ie the name isn't complete).
I have one Exec user who pulls down a crazy amount of data on each activation (as much email as BES 5 will allow, call logs, browsing history, crazy calendar, and thousands and thousands of contacts).
The address book ALWAYS spoons it during EA - the activation completes with a "could not sync Address Book" error. From then on, the add bk sync is unreliable.
So now I do a RSET on Add Bk after each EA for this user, and it syncs down fine.
It seems AddBk as part of EA = too much to handle for this user
AddBk sync via RSET = all OK

Using RSET worked great. Kinda pointless though as he only had 2 contacts :| If it was the presidents BB though I'd be scrambling for a fix. Once again thanks for your help.
