Hmmm...even with the "im an old man" largest font setting, I still get 10 records per screen in landscape view, not the three record view, as shown in your third attachment.

I am sorry for my misleading answer - the font size thing was my answer to your initial question IF you have influence on the thumbnail size... but I also realized while I was typing my initial answer, that my suggestion is probably not want you are looking for...

So I started with an additional new feature that allows you to specify the thumbnail size scale factor... and the attached screenshots are a preview of the initial result... and so my question 'I hope this (see attachments) is what you want...' refer to the new implementation (that's not available yet)...

Actually, the thumbnail processing timelines have improved since the initial release of the feature. Matthias is a genius with multi-threaded processing. If it is too slow for you, there is the option to turn it off...

Fred, of course need additional features additional CPU time... but as visortgw have already said, there is always the option to turn the new feature off.

BBFileScout update to 0.6.6

What's new?
* Enhanced Thumbnail handing & loading performance
* new Options:
- Thumbnail scale factor (default 2x)
- Thumbnail-Store Directory (default EMPTY)

more details @ the BBFileScout Changelog

For details about the new functionality read the "BBFileScout Option" Manual

Installation & Update
You will find the download link (incl. OTA) at the BBFileScout Homepage
Please note, that updating BBFileScout on OS 5.x might require an deinstallation of BBFileScout before you are able to install the new version of BBFileScout.

Once again: Deleting or renaming os relevant files from your Blackberry can harm the core functionality of the device - use this function at your own risk! - Don't blame me, if you have bricked your BB.

BBFileScout update to 0.6.7

What's new?
* Specify the sort order:
by file name
by file size
by modification date
* Send content of plain text files (xml, ini, txt etc.) as SMS
* Copy & Move of large files (>500KiB) will show a progress bar

What's fixed?
* function of Shortcut 'L' (create playlist) when no PlayList Directory is defined

more details @ the BBFileScout Changelog

For details about the new functionality read the "BBFileScout Option" Manual

Installation & Update
You will find the download link (incl. OTA) at the BBFileScout Homepage

Actually I just can recommend to all, that when you open a JAD via the browser (that you has installed previously) then you should always choose "refresh/reload" from the #Menu before you actually hit the install button.

Opening a protected file will cause program to crash with "Uncaught exeception: java.lang.NullPointerExeception"

Otherwise it's fine progra,.

Well apperently blackberry doesn't like programs accessing its system files, so when I tried, it passed null pointer to your program, but your program check if it succeed on opening it before reading it, so it crashes.

I get the same thing when opening any empty file (zero bytes length) and when creating a file (which of course is empty at creation time).

I'm using version 0.6.7 on a BB8100 with OS 4.5.0.124

BBFileScout update to 0.6.8

What's new?
* Additional sort option 'by Type' (by file extension)
* Sort order will be indicated in the file list
* Sort type can be changed via key short cut
* Sort order can be reversed via key short cut

What's fixed?
* Search will show again filenames & icons (was broken in 0.6.7)
* Fixed NullPointerException when opening an empty (0 byte) file in the BBFileScout Text Editor
* Possible internal exception handling improved (still long way to go)

at your service - as always you just have to describe what you do step by step to cause a crash - then I am able to fix it...

BTW: nobody noticed, that the search result display was broken in 0.4.6

Know what's weird? I now can't find the file that kept crashing your program...

Amazing how far you went from first version... it's best file manager I ever seen for blackberries. Other ones I tried were crappy or HUGE.

Nice work man.
