OK, here's an odd one

My Pearl started acting strangely a couple of days ago. I woke up one morning to find hundreds of Draft emails in the Message folder. It seems like the Trackball is auto-pressing 'Enter' multiple times, so in effect it goes through the sequence of

1. Open Message Folder
2. Create new Email
3. Save as Draft

and does this over and over again.

I talked to my BB Admin guys this morning and they'd never seen that before. They suspected some problem with the keyboard, and gave me a new BB Pearl (which incidentally was incredibly easy to set up with my email and stuff). Trouble is, the new one does exactly the same thing

Has anyone else come across this before? It's sat on my desk right now, and can sometimes sit there for 5 minutes, before it suddenly bursts into life, generates a ton of Draft emails, and then stops. It's almost like it has a virus of some kind

EDIT: I'm running v4.2.0.51 on T-Mobile D

No one else has experienced this with the Pearl?

I think it's a bug from version 4.2.0.51

Wipe your Pearl and install the latest OS.

Did you get your phone wet or damp? The only time I have heard of this is when the handheld is exposed to moisture.

I had my Pearl send about 100 text messages on day. I think something in my pocket was pressing buttons though.

Have you downloaded any third party applications recently?

Nope, and as I mentioned, it's also happening with the brand new out-of-the-box Pearl I picked up today. No third party apps on this new one either... it's virginal!

Could be 4.2.0.51 though...cheers. I'll have to talk to the BB Admins and see if they will let me upgrade the OS
