I'm a new user. I need some help. My screen is showing a battery in the middle against a white screen with a red diagonal line going through the battery. I've tried re charging and switching battery's but the same screen keeps coming up. I have also ttried holding down the red power button...nothing. Can someone help me?

have you tried reinstalling your device os? it might help. Unless someone else has a better solution

There is something wrong with the battery. Are you sure it's a genuine batter ?

If it's not then replace it.

If it doesn't work that way you should try and format your Pearl and reinstalling the OS.
