Default Where can I get new screen for 8100?

Please Login to Remove!

My dog bit the upper left corner of my 8100 and cracked the screen (see pix). Phone works, camera works, menus seem to work, but I need to either (a) have the phone serviced and screen replaced, or (b) get a new screen and install it myself.

Anyone know how to go about either of the above?

Many thanks to all.

The next step is cook your Pearl. It's better to get a new phone because repliacement screen is costly.

Pretty sure that parts aren't even available for the Pearl yet...when they are, check here:

Yes. I talked to the folks at BBerryrepairshop.com this morning and got a quote for repair of $200. That was for new (used) screen and new bezel (also used) installed.

$200 is way too much. I asked if I could buy just the LCD and was told I could, for $120.

No, don't think so. I put up on eBay for sale as is, with the original box and all the stuff that came with it (battery, sync cable, charger, earbud, software disk, etc.).

It's on eBay (look for username fbx3) starting at $65.

Maybe it'll sell. The rest of the stuff might be worth it, or maybe somebody needs one for parts.

Cheers--

I found someone who had a bad phone to sell me their screen. It might help you sell your phone if you call the company you bought it from and get it unlocked. That is the route I am going. I have mine unlocked now and the guy is "sending" me my screen from Canada. Should be here soon. The install is not that bad or to hard either. I have taken my 8100 apart put it back together and it works great.

except the cracked screen. I dropped mine, no doggie bite.

May I ask what you paid for the LCD screen? I talked to a guy in Texas who wanted $120 for a used screen. I thought that was too much.
