Question Seriously. I may have to get rid of my Tour

Please Login to Remove!

I am thinking of giving up my new Tour and going back to maybe an 8830. I like the data part of this device but it's my phone too and I can't have one phone call with out it being very hard to hear each other. Please advise. What would I be missing if I go to the 8830 again besides the camera? Ughhh

Sounds like the device is defective. They certainly aren't all like that.
Bring the Tour back to Sprint and get it exchanged for a new one.

I also agree, you MUST have a defective phone. I know there were alot of issues with the first batch of Tours. I had problems with my bluetooth and trackball, took it back, and both issues are solved. I would simply demand a replacement.

Yeah don't give up so easy. Took me getting my 4th one to hit the sweet spot. Well worth it once you get one from the good batch.

8830 was the best blackberry I ever had, Tour has alot of issues but seems like nobody really cares. People say they can't hear me on the tour all the time and I don't understand why. I have had three tours and I'm convinced they are all this way.

I'm on my 4th Tour and the audio quality has been utterly flawless on every single one. Maybe you shouldn't carry on conversations with food in your mouth?

I just hung up with Verizon. They said to bring it in because it's probably something wrong with the phone itself. He said he knows several people that had this problem and it's the actual devise. So I'm going to swap it out today for another Tour and see if the problem is solved. I'll keep you posted (no pun intended)

Anyway to turn the volume up further?

I pretty much always use a wired one-piece headset to talk and with my old Curve it got nice and loud so I could hear the caller quite well. Even with the volume jacked up to the max it just doesn't seem quite as loud with my new Tour -- ???

I am thinking these complaints are all just a bad device or something. I had a few people tell me I was muffled before. Newest device and OS fixed that.

I have thought from day one on this device that it had the best/loudest audio of any phone I have ever owned, bluetooth included.

I'm returning my Tour next week...nothing but problems with it and this is the 2nd one with the same issues, which I now attribute to f/w. Back to my trusty ole' Curve for me. Maybe the next gen of product will be something worth looking at, but this thing's an overpriced paperweight for me today. $700.00 and it blows...not even a WiFi device, in today's day and age...I just don't get the justification on price.

I let a lady at the soccer field use my tour for a call the other day and when she hung up she commented on how great the sound quality was, no kidding! It's definitley a device problem if you are having issues.
