In trying to resolve some latency issues, I've managed to uninstall the MAPI cdo from my BES server, only to find I can only download the most recent cdo from Microsoft for Exchange 2007.

Does anyone know where I can find the correct MAPI cdo? I'm running BES 4.1.6 and Exchange 2003. I know I need to upgrade

Extra info - I was following the 'How to install or upgrade the Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1 guide' - I have downloaded the most recent ExchangeMapiCdo from MS, but it's 2007 only.

I thought latest one 6.5.8211.0 would work with all previous version of exchange servers including 2003?? What is the correct MAPI for 2003?

So what you mean is that for BES 5.0.3 and exchange 2003 SP2 I'd need ver. 6.5.7654.12 ?

If on a 32 bit OS, use ESM.

Or check PM that I sent for older versions of MAPI.

Would you share the MAPI information that you PM'd to fadmin. I am about ready to install our first BES 5.0.3 servers on Win2008 R2 but our environment has Exchange 2003 (will be upgraded later to 2010) and I am looking at what MAPI/CDO to install. If memory serves me correctly I can not install the exchange 2003 esm on a 64bit OS.

You are correct. You can not install ESM on a 08 R2 you will have to use mapi+cdo package.

Thats what I thought. I just have to find the right mapi+cdo package to put on my blackberry 5 servers that will work with Exchange 2003. Would be nice if it was the same one for Exchange 2010 so I wouldnt have to update that later but I am probably not that lucky. LOL

Looks like the only version available for download is MAPI/CDO version 6.5.8211.0 but I dont see that listed on the Exchange Compatibility Matrix. Does anyone know if this is supported for version 5.0.3 and will work with Exchange 2003?
