Default auto more for 'Get Images' in html email

Is there an auto loading of images for html emails available with the 4.5 OS? Or is it a security concern?

The email settings are supposed to allow to download automatically however, that has not been the case with html and 4.5, at least for me.

Wirelessly posted (8130 Pearl)

Using 4.5.0.66 and this is not working for me either. I'll check the option and open an email and it will start to auto load some of the images and then stop.

Won't load any more images in any email until I tell it to manually. Hope this gets fixed...

I think it loads images in the cache, but not new ones.

I am running 4.5.0.69 on my 8310 from AT&T and have the same problem - have to download images for each e-mail. If I view the e-mail again, they are saved in cache and show up. Very annoying though. There is a default download images in the e-mail settings that can be set for each account - but it doesn't do it. In an older version, this was only available in my hotmail account, but now it shows these options for all e-mail accounts.

BTW - what does confirm delivery and confirm read in these settings do??

just got the storm, and auto-download still doesn't work on that. Verizon said that they know it is an issue and RIM is working on it.

If you select those options you'll get a confirmation message in your inbox for each message confirming delivery and confirming read, assuming the recipient OKs sending that confirmations back to you.
