Pls what can I do to my phone, the battery runs out fast even when it is switched off, it only acts normal when there is no sim in it

Check to see if "location services" is on. It runs the GPS constantly.

GPS doesn't take that much power.

I found my BB would run down in 5 to 6 hours with it turned on. I shut it off and i get 2 days. It may have been poor service or constant searching, not sure but it cleared my issue.

Mine is on all the time and I have not seen it as a drain. I can go all day on a charge. But if it worked for you, go with it.

Battery consumption is a combination of so many things that it is really tough to pinpoint any one specific cause or reason. It is generally a combination of things that cause it.

The BB that drained is on ATT and the corporate one. No additional apps so now i'm wondering what else may be going on if yours lasts all day. another mystery

Could be a difference in devices and OS. I have a 9810 on OS 7. But my 9800 on OS 6 was even better than the 9810. Both on AT&T.

I wouldn't think it was a big deal if it works for you.
