Hi Friends,

Suddenly about 1 or 2 hours before I got an update that blackberry identity update is needed and i tried updating it but i got error saying the update failed. My 3G is connected and everything else is working fine...then i tried opening the app world and the same message is prompting me "A Blackberry Identity update is needed. Would you like to install it now?"

however it is again failing if i try to update it...and that too more specifically when the update reaches 100% .... without this update am unable to use the app world too.

Help me in this issue friends

I noticed the first suggestion was to try doing it on wifi at a hotspot. That struck me as weird...at least I don't understand. I would think turning off wifi -- if you are using it -- and using the mobile network would make more sense. But I assume you are failing when using the mobile network.

I don't know what else to suggest, except I would experiment if it were me. I'd first try a security wipe, and select the option to delete all user installed apps. Then try the update. If that doesn't work, I'd force an OS reinstall using desktop manager, then try again.
