Hey guys,
I had tried to get my Blackberry 8310 to sync with Destop Manager over bluetooth some time ago with no luck. It was then that I learned that the Blackberry only works with Windows Bluetooth stack, and that I would have to uninstall by WIDCOMM drivers to get it to work. I was using Windows XP, Desktop Manager 4.5, and 4.3 firmware.

Just for the heck of it, I tried it again today, and it now works! I have Windows Vista, WIDCOMM bluetooth drivers, Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.7, and the new 4.5 firmware.

Has anyone else tried this? I wonder what it was that corrected the problem, new version of DM, new firmware, or new version of WIDCOMM?

I haven't found any documentation on the Blackberry site that says it should work. Everything I read there still says I must use Windows Bluetooth stack.

I just upgraded to DM 4.7 and bluetooth sync still does not work for me with widcomm bluetooth. So must have been something else that worked for you.

My Bluetooth adapter now works with Desktop Manager 4.7. I am using Windows Vista as well.

Yeah my bad. Apparently I have broadcom drivers not widcomm. Anyone know if its possible to switch between the two?
