I really hate to be negative, but I just downloaded and installed the NYC map onto my 8700c.
The opening picture is of a 71xx keyboard. Not so terrible, but would it be so difficult to use an 87xx keyboard?
Why don't you use the scroll wheel? Take a look at how Google Maps handles it (
Google Maps). Scroll Wheel scrolls vertically, SHIFT Scroll Wheel scrolls horizontally.
The map is a LOT smaller than the screen, and incredibly difficult to read.
There's no Zoom function which MIGHT at least alleviate the size problem.
I don't get the "Application" part of this. It's a picture file with "bookmarks" to get you to specific parts of the picture. No search / routing capabilities, and not even every station listed.
For now, I'm better off with my subway map picture files (GIF's from the
MTA and
www.nycsubway.org) and the built in picture viewer!
Sorry CrucialSoft - I had high hopes, but even for free this app gets cuts from my BlackBerry.
