Either product? Did tech support try to get you to use the new beta?

1.0.70 is the official audible air version. It works fine on my daughter's 8100. There are minor glitches, but it is stable enough for everyday use on that device.

The new beta release however, is not yet able to live up to day to day use. The version that will be released soon though will be on par with the player code in 1.0.70. (maybe slightly better).

I received an email about the Beta so I was the one that tried it. When I was having issues I emailed (with no response) and then I tried 1.0.70. With that one it kept dumping me out (I had this issue once before I can't remember how I solved it). What I kept getting was "UncaughtException:Java.Null.PointerException" After 30 minutes on the phone with the tech support who couldn't figure it out (I don't think he was very versed in BB or smart phone issues) I bagged it. I had serious issues with skipping and garbled sound with 1.0.70 (and .71, I think) so I wasn't all that thrilled that it was my only option.

I'll keep checking the forums. When I hear that the new Beta is live and working I may reconsider joining up again. Until then...library CDs burned as MP3 for my audio book source.
