Default OS: 8110 4.5.0.302/4.5.0.180 (Multilanguage)

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.302 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.5.0.302
Consisting of:

* Applications: 4.5.0.180
* Software Platform: 2.7.0.105
* File name: 8110M_PBr4.5.0_rel302_PL2.7.0.105_A4.5.0.180_Vodaf one_UK.exe
* File size: 98.11MB

Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

* Download Software: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...05D7C424EBAE5F

This download is from Vodafone UK but will work on ANY carrier's 8100 model BB. (Not 8100, 8120 or 8130)

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded. (Vista users be sure to right click on the .exe file and select "Run As Administrator.")
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

Question

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I am new to my BB.
I am from Argentina and need a Spanish capable OS (my carrier es Claro Argentina). Will I lose any of the configurations I already have on my phone if I upgrade to v4.5? This is a corporative phone and I would not want to get in trouble...
Thanks!!!

Me referia a las configuraciones que cargaron aca en mi empresa cuando me dieron el cel. No se si al actualizar se borrará algo de eso y después tendré que configurarlo por mi cuenta.
Gracias!
Miguel

[I meant to the configurations loaded here in my company when they first assigned it to me. I dunno if those configurations will have to be re-entered after the update.
Thanks!

qete_arg, if you are on a BES corportate account, you really should ask your BES Admin first about upgrading. It is likely you will need to get an activation password from them anyway.
