However, after I relogon, it changed back to email address again.

Same weird thing still happening everyday.

Some of my MSN contact shows up as their nickname, some shows up as their email address randomly, regardless if I have chatted with them before.

- Alert Profiles. After starting up the application for the first time after install, you should see a new event type under your alerts profiles for "JiveTalk - New IM". You can now use this to configure vibrate/sound/LED notifications when a new IM comes in via JiveTalk. The old preferences setting for vibration has been retired for BB builds.

where?
I can't find this alerts / profiles

the google talk item is new, i've never seen that before. do you have jabber buddies on google talk on servers running extensions?

agree that the error message beep is annoying. irritates me as well. we can try to turn it off. it's the default BB implementation of a java error screen.

there are a number of status message and profile based enhancements we're planning to make, so hopefully those will help out in the usability department
I think all of them are just on the standard Google Talk server. I haven't seen the disconnect error happen again.

Another feature, probably more important than the rest: When I get a URL sent to me, be able to scroll to it and choose "Get Link" like most other BB apps. Also, to select and copy text from conversations, but that one's not as necessary if I can get links.

It is fixed after Kai sent me another URL.

Yes, the url item is a high priority item on our list. We should get that on fairly soon.

onth, if you don't mind, can you shoot an email to [email address] when you get a chance and we can try to monitor what's happening with your MSN account?

If you get one of these max tunnel - open timeout errors, and you are on BIS using APN, it's usually because of a problem with your carrier's APN.

I had this happen to be me last night for a couple of hours, very annoying...

We're looking into perhaps getting BIS connectivity for the app, though none of us are experts with BB networking, if anyone knows the ins and outs of this stuff, please drop me a line.

The server seems to be running fine on our end.

I'm blind, or not thinking, I can't find Profile.
I open Jivetalk, highlight one of the accounts, hit the menu button... I don't see profile.
thanks!

Profile on your Blackberry NOT within Jivetalk itself. From within Profile on your phone you'll see jivetalk.

Okay, thanks!
I never knew there was an Advance, I never scrolled down all the way. I wondered how you edited profiles!
Hah!

More feedback:

In the popup when you get a new message, I'd like a "mark read" or similar option to dismiss the popup, not go to the app, but not have the LED keep blinking.

There's Auto Login On Start, but no Auto Start on Reset, which I'd like, so I automatically get logged into my accounts if I take the battery out and put it back in.

I seem to have a lot of feature requests, but even without them this has already become my favorite IM app.

I have the latest os and the latest build of JiveAtlk and I am still having a problem with seeeing the conversation during chats. I can however see them if I go into chat history. Other than that, things look nice.
