I can't figure this out. I upgraded my VZW 7130e to Sasktel's latest OS yesterday. The upgrade went fine.

Now I'm using the Zen theme, which I love because it separates out the SMS messages from the main mailbox. But, on the top of the screen, there's a bracket that sometimes faces left and is a ] and at other times faces right and is a {. It's right beside the signal bars. Does anyone know what this is?

I hadn't even noticed that the network signal was "missing." Very helpful. Thank you, Raven!

Does anyone know how to delete specific themes? I would like to get rid of them, for space, since I wont use most of the provider themes, if any.

If you loaded them with the desktop manager, use that to remove them, if not go to options, advanced options, click on the wheel and look for the module to the specific themes and highlight it click the wheel and delete.

Just an interesting note. I think I loaded too many language options cause now when I use suretype, I sometimes see other language characters. I'm sure I can go to Applications and remove those character sets. Just thought it was kind of funny.

I tried the module idea, but heres my next q. In the modules, the themes arent listed by name. Is there anyway to know what theme I will be deleting?

Just upgraded to 4.1.0.309 and tossed Dimension Zen on my 7105t. Looks great!

Is there a way to get rid of the Enterprise Icon? It naturally went away with the default TMO theme in 4.0x.
EDIT: Never mind, this theme freaking rocks! I spent about 3 more seconds with it and found the hide app feature.

Thanks for all of your hard work Jibi. It hasn't gone un-noticed - really excellent posts for every topic you make.

I am TMO, 7100t, 4.1 installed, then Zen OTA link. Everything works slowly. I bet it is caching up as it goes back to slow after reboot.

One big question...I noticed on my Zen there is no text to the left of the icon that is selected like in the screen shots? Does anyone else have this?

You can't. It's a feature of that particular version of OS 4.1. Earlier versions had an option called "Home Screen" which enabled you the ability to disable/enable application names when not highlighted.

it seams to be the OS, as i didnt change/update the version of zen on my system, and the os installer didnt come with zen but once i updated th os it got rid of the text. think untill rim decide to backtrack a little then wer stuck with no text or an older os.

correct - its a 'feature' of the OS and not the theme.

Anyone having issues with the Zen theme and the new 4.1 OS from Tmobile (.309)? I was using the HK version of 4.1 and decided (bad choice) to upgrade to the new TMO version today. A couple of things bugged me and I am probably going to switch back.

1 -- No more shortcuts (address book, etc)
2 -- With the Zen theme I am now missing the new message icon and counter at the top of the screen. When I go into new messages it appears at the top, but when I exit not only is the counter not there, but the new mail notification is gone too even though I haven't touched the messages.

Any thoughts?

Mark:

I'm having the same issues with TMO's .309 version of 4.1. I just installed Zen tonight and have no shortcut keys.

If anyone figures out a solution, I'm all ears. Otherwise I like the theme.

BTW: I installed Zen OTA. It was incredibly easy. For some reason I couldn't get it to work with either the Desktop Manager or JavaLoader.

Also, I think the issue of slowness has as much or more to do with upgrading the OS as it has to do with Zen. I upgraded my OS two days ago and it was very, very slow for the first half day. Tonight when I installed Zen it was slow for a while but seems to have picked up very quickly.

I was using the HK CSL version of OS 4.1 and loved it! The Zen theme worked great. When TMO came out with their OS, I figured, what the heck, lets give it a whirl and see what they improved on. But they didn't. I am downgrading right now to the HK CSL version. THe HKCSL version was much faster and had a fully functioning Zen theme. Whatever TMO did, I am disappointed and won't use their OS for a while.

In case you don't know where/how to get the HK CSL version, it is in the Zen theme area. Search for "Zen" and go to the "Zen theme for 7100 handhelds - Download Here!" link.
