Default Lgreenberg - Ultimate slim/leather case?

Please Login to Remove!

Lgreenberg - I like to upgrade my OEM plastic case with a leather case. My most important factors are:

Slim factor
Style
w/ sleeper magnet

I like the OEM leather case but I understand it is quite bulky.

Your suggestions appreciated.

The OEM case is very functional but it is quite bulky.

Based on your needs I'd go with th Fortte STi.

It meets all your requirements.

Slim - yes (you might consider the fixed clip option. I haven't tried it personally but out of the six clip options it looks like the slimmest.

Style - yes. You can choose from a variety of colors and even special order all leather (no elastic sides) if you so desire.

Sleeper Magnet - yes. It has one and works perfectly.

If you don't like the idea of having a topless case than take everything I said above and apply it to the Fortte Vertical Pouch. It's not as bulky as the OEM case.

I thought you were going to say Naztech - that's style!

Not sure about the slim factor though.

The Naztech does not have a built in sleeper magnet, which is one of the original poster's requirement.

Thus it's ruled out.

I'm fairly certain it is.

Either that or a copy.

I'm pretty sure it is too, though that particular item appears gone now - there are a few other cases there that appear to be re-branded Fortte:

Fortte does work with retailers and distributors (see their site), and these have a shield on the front just as Fortte's. A couple of bucks cheaper, but I'd pay the extra to get rid of that huge eAccess name on the front.

I'd go with Fortte's STi (as stated) or the GizmoSkin - it's nice leather, has a slim ratcheting fixed clip, and has a smaller side profile than the OEM version. There were some problems reported with the previous version, but those have been addressed and it's a really nice case.

I ordered the STi in all leather with the fixed clip - it has the smallest profile and I don't care to wear it any way but vertical.

It's personal preference - do you want a flap or pouch style case?

I have the OEM with clip leather holster and the pouch (w/o clip) on order. My thought is to have my local shoe repair shop remove the flap from the pouch to make it slimmer. It might be a bit loose with the regular battery but will be quite tight with the extended battery.
