Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

ATT data plan for BB is data only BIS is for personal use, BES is needed if you will be attached to a corp.server

Messaging is seperate on ATT

First priority which carrier has the best coverage in your area for you!

I believe sprint has an all inclusive plan but I'm not positive on that

Totally agree with EZ. Carrier coverage is the most important thing to check. Do this first. Look at where you will use the device - where you live, work, travel and play. Don't assume or trust the coverage maps. Do your homework first.

Once you pick the carrier, then pick the device.

Dear Dude or Dudette, You need a Data Plan And Phone Plan here's the difference.
The Data Plan able's you to do anything that relates to data such as, email, messenger,Internet,Gps,
The Phone Plan able's you to make phone calls, And Messege Center..

Both my wife and i have the following plan

Data Plan 45 - Unlimited Data $45.00
Phone Plan 35 - includes, 300min peak time 7:00am - 5:00pm
- Unlimited eve & weekends from 5:00pm to 7:00am
- Unlimited Text messages
- Mate to mate unlimited calling local and long distance
- And a whole lot more we pay per month $45.00+$35.00=$80.00

So remember that when you go to a smart-phone you need a data plan + phone plan
i know its different then what you are used too however that's how the cell companies are squeezing more money out of us for there services.

Like aforementioned, check the coverage in your area.

Typically what I have found is as follows:

Speed: Verizon & AT&T top the list

Cost: TMobile is the cheapest

Cost/Speed Combo: Sprint has a good cost/benefit balance

If you aren't too concerned about price, then I would avoid T-Mobile. In my experience their data is the slowest and runs, at best, on Edge. They have no Blackberries running on their 3G network. Sprint has a simply everything plan, they have nice devices and their speed is decent.

AT&T and Verizon are pretty comperable when it comes to price and coverage. AT&T is known for poor customer service and Verizon has complaints about the option their blackberries provide (like the lack of wifi, for example.)

It really all comes down to how much you are comfortable paying and what you want to get out of your blackberry.
