Default the Blackberry Tablet OS SDK

Please Login to Remove!

Yesterday, RIM released the Blackberry Tablet OS SDK for Adobe AIR. Obviously, unlike APPLE, RIM is inclined to coorperate with Adobe,. Why does RIM want to collaborate with Adobe? what do you guys think?

Moved to the proper section.

As for why, maybe because Apple isn't?

Apple is trying to recreate the wheel. It might well do since all the the apple fanboys buy anything they put on the counter. Apple claim that they wouldnt adopt adobe cause of security reasons... I understand where they come from but is it really worth?

They are selling 1.3mm iPads a month all without Flash.

At a huge tech conference two weeks ago, Steve Ballmer said the future is HTML5. Not Silverlight, and not Flash. HTML5.

They are not selling only to Fanboys. They are selling to consumers, who bring them into work.

With each month the other tablets makers fall further and further behind, and they know it.

They aren't recreating anything - they have CREATED a new wheel.

P.S. I detest Apple. But the iPad is a game changer.

I agree that HTML5 might be the future as probably will but what makes it impossible to be introduced to the other Tablets? Also, when will HTML5 broadly accessible? Maybe its a bit too early to put everything into something that is still in development. Im sure Apple only did it cause they have the market on their hands atm. Im happy without tablet... for now.

Well Webkit browsers support HTML5: Nokia Browser, iPhone, BB6 devices, Android smartphones/platform.
Considering that a top engineer at BOTH Apple and Google are collaborating and fronting HTML5 since day one a few years ago and many sites are using HTML5 ... add to that in OSX Flash crashes after streaming just 5 youtube videos in desktop Safari ... its no wonder apple doesn't like Flash.

I think it's a good device with great specifications but I don't see clear that development must be Flex.
