Default Did anyone go from 8700 to the Pearl, verizon customer.

so i had the 8703 then unfortunately my phone sank to the bottom of a lake, so i have been using some cheap samsung and i need to get another phone. was planning to pick up the pearl today, don't really want to replace with another 8700. i know there are rumors for the curve but when that finally arrives maybe i'll upgrade to that then.

so how has the transition been to the pearl for you former 8700 owners.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8100: BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

My first BlackBerry was an 8700g on T-Mobile and now I am using the Pearl 8100. I do like this device. It took a little bit of time to get used to the keypad, but only about 2 weeks. I like this device because of the size, and the extras like removable storage, the track ball and the media player. The camera is also a nice bonus.

just got it awesome phone, might be a bit biased towards the black color but still pretty sleek in silver. the keyboard is a bit of pain but i will learn, and the ball is different as well for a blackberry veteran such as myself

Well, I use two thumbs The 8130 is my first Blackberry, so I may not be a very good judge, but I love it.

I agree Dawg, I have found that I am just as fast if not faster with the 8130. I thought it was going to be an issue, as the 8703 had each key independent of one another, but I have really come to like the sure type keypad. I just upgraded at the beginning of Feb.
