So about 2 months ago when I pulled the mini usb out of the phone from the pc the phone got really slow and every 2 or so seconds the hour glass would pop up. I did a battery pull and thought nothing of it. But it seems to come back and about 2 days ago, it did it a 3rd time, I had about 100k up time, just the basic 5 apps running 1EVO nothing running and about 20 megs free. When I did pull the battery and re booted it the bloody hour glass started to flash back and the phone still lagged and was slow. Any ideas? When I sync it with the vz loader it don't remove or modify anything. This is really just random but weird. I thought originally it was with the dm/ or pc lagging caused it but it just does it when it wants to and recently even a battery pull didn't do anything. I did not notice when it stopped since I as occupied with other stuff. Ideas? Before I reload the os?

If a battery pull did not help, you likely have too much running on your phone. Get rid of the crap running in the background.

How much free memory do you have after a battery pull.

What is running in the background.

This is not a Pentium processor you are running and expecting it to do too much will slow it WAY down.

I assume you have deleted the extra languages, sample video, PTT and other software you do not need. You need to take a serious look at what you have installed and decide if you really need it or just want it.

Clean out your device and you will never see the hour glass!

From a clean boot I have 20mb free, when this does happen I only have the 5 programs running in the background, memory says 19 or 20 from pressing alt caps h. Alt back when this happeneds shows just 5 running. Just weird only happened 3 times the one that led me to make a post is after I pulled the batt. The bloody thing came back after the device went to 1EVO and at the home screen.

The hour glass running is normal with all the blackberries you just have to have patience the only other option you have is to reload the handheld software on the phone and see if that resolves this issue. But most likely your phone will take a little longer to load up than normal phones.

The hour glass I'm not talking about booting. Its when the phones on and idling with the dimensions or zen theme. After it booted and idles. Idk just some weird thing it does once per full moon I feel. Hehe.

I get that hourglass problem when I visit a website that it has trouble loading and the page freezes. Even after I exit out of the browser the hourglass will pop up every few seconds no matter what program I decide to use. It doesn't go away until I power off or pull the battery. Sounds like you have something different tho.
