Myself and my co-worker got our Blackberry 7130e devices at the same time from the same carrier (Verizon). However, she has under security the option to allow calls while device is locked, while I do not. I've tried resetting the device, wiping and re-installing the latest OS from Verizon (the one from a competitor is not recognized as viable for my device), replacing the IT policy with the blank policy, etc., but I still don't have that option.

I've compared the versions of the OS, and we appear to be identical.

Any ideas on how I can get this option to appear?

You'll need to inquire with your IT/BES adminins, they obviously have it locked a certain way, and disabling such could put you in jeapordy with them.

Both my co-worker and I use the same BES server with the same IT policy. In additrion, as I stated, I completely wiped the device and loaded a blank policy to replace the IT policy. So I don't think it is likely that the policy is the issue -- other suggestions?

"IT Policy" isn't the only thing the BES can push to the device. I would take the above poster's advice and contact your BES admin. He/She should be able to help you. Also, just because you are on the same BES doesn't mean you have the same policy/firewalls/application controls on your device.

we went for an entire year with all having the same IT policy and some had it and others didnt, and finally the BES admin said, oh you don't have that option, and they just turned it on somehow without messing with the IT policy, which goes along with the post above me....

THe BES admin and I looked over BES for me but did not see anthing related. Can anyone point to the specific area/option?
