The files youxxx8217;re transferring may be too large or there is a conflict on your PC when you execute the transfer. DM uses the USB ports and other applications may be in conflict. Try turning off any other applications and try moving a very small ring tone or other small file. If it works then check the size of the files youxxx8217;re attempting. I use DM to load files and the only time I have had issues is when the file is too large and on my Pc everything stalls.

What is rebooting? The device or the computer?

I changed the Media Card . then I did how u said . I closed all the applications . That thing helped me to get no more reboots . thanks.
i copied an image and it works good. but when i try to copy a music file the device is disappearing. it says that "The Blackberry device blocked the connection with MediaManager".
to start using DM again i must unplug the USB cable than plug it back in.
how can i copy large files ?
please , help.

Enable mass storage mode in Options>Media card. Your BlackBerry will then appear as a drive in my computer and you can drag and drop files onto it then like a usb flash drive. That should allow you to transfer large files.

I hate the BB Desktop Manager PC software for audio and video files, including Roxio. It drives me nuts! Why can it have a simple file manager tool that plays friendly with Windows Explorer? I don't think the OS is your problem; likely it's the BB Desktop Manager software which wants you to do everything through it and not through Windows Explorer. With the OS v5, my 8520 likes to reboot frequently for reasons not clear to me (nor warned about). It also freezes alot (or is really thinking for a loooong time, but doesn't tell you it's thinking). I'm seriously considering going back to my Samsung Blackjack II.
