Hi,
Is it possible to monitoring data traffic related to the users on the BES server? I see that it's possible to monitoring pin, sms and voice traffic but it seems no data :(

Data meaning email msgs? That can't be done. Data meaning what ppl browse using BES MDS, yes, but needs to be enabled. Data meaning browsing using BIS, not possiable

Your carrier can and should be able to provide this info. It may depend on your area and tarrif but we get full reports each month with a breakdown of usage and cost. You sometimes need to pay for this service but it should be available if you are a business customer.

Yes I know that our carrier can give us this type of data , but I'd like to know if BES can do this. I see that I can trace how many SMS sent a user but BES log too much things
Is there a way to chose which fields monitor? For example I don0't want to see the body of their SMS or PIN messages

I'm confused here, especially as you didn't answer others' questions earlier so we know exactly what you want to know. You said you want see "how much MB traffic generate one user per month" so do you mean what they use on their data plan in total or what goes through the BES? If you want all data used by their account you need to turn to the carrier as not all traffic goes through the BES.

Right, with you now. Sorry I don't know of a way and I think the logfile probably has the only copy of the messages.

I guess you could use the findstr command to count the number of lines in the file which contain the user name, that way you don't need to open the file.

There is no definitive way to do this through the BES; you'll need a third party app.

Have you tried the Blackberry Resource Kit ?
There an .exe in there that pulls how much data has been used to send /receive and MDS use, per user and per day....
