Can an 8100 battery be so dead it won't recharge?

I had a radio station playing on my phone and fell asleep. When I woke up, the battery was drained and putting it on the charger did nothing. I removed and replaced the battery, but that didn't help.

For its part, the LED is a mournfully pulsing red light.Does that mean anything?

Seems as though you have bricked your phone. Something other than the battery dying happened. What you can do it try charging it with the battery in and then take it out while its charging and see what happens. Also try charging without a battery and putting it back in. If those dont work then you will prob have to contact TMo to see what they can do for you. You could also try a new battery (they can test it at a TMo store for you).
