Default App World 1.1 break IM+

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone else here with IM+ that installed the new App World? As soon as I rebooted my Bold after installing App World IM+ started popping up a dialog when I launched it that asked me to set the permissions for the program. It brought up a whole huge list and everything was set to allow. I would save the settings. I get a message saying that it needs to restart IM+ for changes to take place but them next time I run it the same problem happens. It would just keep going in an endless loop. As soon as I uninstalled App World 1.1 it worked again. Was just wondering if you have had the same problem.

Same here. Not only did it mess up IM+, but since I installed it, I've watched my battery drain at warp speed.

Is it just me? When I first installed it I had a lot of trouble with performance and response. I'm guessing that was a server issue. Still, I'm wondering how much worse could this app get?

This app has done nothing but improve for me.
I would say it was running in the background hence your battery drain.

Also, after you download apps with it, they stick around in an archive until you delete them from the list in "My world". You will notice after an uninstall that an icon will stick around without being present in your service books list or your Applications list.

In order to remove it delete from the "My World" archive.

In my opinion, App World has been improved greatly. Not only is it faster, but it does not drain my memory as much as the older version did.

I agree. Overall it's much better. The searching is easier, the version is faster, etc. I just dont like that archive.

i have the same problem. So either IM+ needs a patch or BB App world.

looks like IM+ stepped up to the plate

IM+ All-in-One Mobile Messenger: AIM/iChat, MSN/Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo!, ICQ, Jabber, Google Talk, MySpaceIM and Skype chat :: BlackBerry :: Products

They have fixed the application to work with the new App World 1.1

Trying now to see the result
