Default I never thought it would happen

i have never seen my blackberry (or any other one that i support) crash. it happened to me. my company pays for the laptop tethering, so i thought i would take advantage when i went out of town over the weekend. i was connected and doing fine for about the first 5 minutes, then my connection is lost and my blackberry goes into a constant hour glass tizzy. i had to restart the thing.

i have had a blackberry for 3 years (two different models) and never had a crash before. i have touted the blackberry as a solid performer to our treo users in the office, so i feel that i should keep this a secret to them.

so should i admit to the crash showing that no device is perfect or keep it under wraps and tone down my "it doesn't crash" rhetoric?

Here' my $.02

If someone tells me they have a device that "doesn't crash"... I automatically label them a liar in my book.
There is no perfect device. All electronics fail at some point. Everything with an operating system crashes at some time or another.
Your friends with Treo's know this.

Does it really concern you that your BlackBerry had 1 "Crash" after 3 years of use and you had to reboot it? There's bigger things to worry about, methinks.

1 crash in three years is close enough to zero compared to my experience with Treos. Still, Penguin's right -- there's no such thing as a device that doesn't crash.

man I had a vzw 6700 on wm5 it crashed every three hours so many resets I threw it in the garbage didnt even want to sell it to some one. So with that said 1 crash in 3 years is close enough to perfect for me. so I wouldnt be ashamed of your BB at all.
