The new version of Google Maps can be downloaded straight from the google maps site. (google.com/gmm)

After snooping around google's site for a while I found the .jad file for OTA insatllation of Google Maps on the 7520!

The URL is: google.com/gmm/apps/v1.2.2/en/gmaps-BlackBerry-7520_v4_0_en.jad

I have downloaded it on my non-BES 7520 and it works perfectly!

If it helps I have attached the .jad and .jar files in gmm.zip.

Thanks. This really helps. Like a dummy i deleted Google Local before I saw that Google MPas didn't work.

Bless you for posting that link. I just had to wipe a users 7520 and he was a big GLM user. Much to my surprise, my old link didn't work for the download. But this link works!!

Boy...I've been all over the place looking for this and even got a response from Google that they knew it didn't work on the 7520...but were working on it. I guess the left hand doesn't talk with the right hand at Google....

But this works just GREAT. T-H-A-N-K-S !!!

This link no longer seems to work from a test 7520 that I have (I can get out to other internet sites). I think I read that this version was pulled, but I can't find an OTA link for a new version.

No, it doesn't support the 7520's internal GPS. That addition would have made this a truly killer app.

It takes a little will to download info on the 7520 but very nice application. I've noticed that the satellite imagery isn't that accurate. Overall, very nice. I do like how they map out the directions and some of the other features but I wouldn't really compare it to Telenav in my honest opinion.
